I’m liking the vibe on this one. Some great synth lines and sounds combined with good vocal melodies make “Rocketship” a standout track. Astrodamus delivers the verses in a smooth, sensual style, inviting listeners to party in outer space.
In some ways, it’s a departure from the darker indie-folk offerings of his 2023 album, Songs From Lockdown. “Rocketship” is a high-energy track with a groovin’ vibe, where the choruses blast off and the verses float in the sonic cosmos.
The song was conceived during a challenge where Aaron Astrodamus released 30 songs in 30 days on Bandcamp. “Rocketship” received the most positive feedback from listeners, so Astrodamus fleshed it out by layering sonic textures and additional instrumentation. The single has been featured on KFSR radio and various playlists on Spotify.
