NMR – Some cool licks in this one, the guitars are the main focus for sure, though the vocal delivery matches it well, the track has energy and melody all wrapped in a good mix and production, very nice work for these guys.
Rising heavy rock band Black Talons have just released their latest single, “Atom Bomb”, kicking off a powerful new chapter as they begin crafting their debut full-length album.
Formed in late 2023 by Darren and Rob, Black Talons quickly evolved from casual rehearsals to playing live. Within weeks of forming, they landed a support slot at a local Christmas show — a sign of the momentum to come.
In 2024, the band released two standalone singles — “Microdoser” and “White Lightning” — both of which earned spins on independent radio and placements on rock and alt playlists. Their live presence grew as well, with sets at The Craufurd Arms (Milton Keynes) and The Castle (Luton), among others.
A Sharper Sound..
Early 2025 brought a new addition to the lineup, further tightening their sound and boosting their live energy. The new single “Atom Bomb” showcases this evolution — a heavier, more aggressive sound that still stays true to their alternative rock roots.
Black Talons features ex-members of The GetGone, The Wah-Wah Club, and Anti Vigilante. Their sound fuses elements of 90s alt-rock and grunge, with critics and fans alike drawing comparisons to Reuben, Dinosaur Pile-Up, and Pulled Apart By Horses.
