“Bxrrell ( buhRELL) brings us a great Acoustic offering showcasing the greta vocal work of Sophie Burrell”

NMR – Whats not to like about the track, from the bare acoustic intro complimented by some smooth vocals from Sophie, the song builds with energy right up to the searing guitar sol work, this guys need to be on your radar. !

Tender and bursting with heart, BXRRELL’s latest rock ballad release, Tattoo is a requiem for loved ones we’ve lost. The soothing acoustic guitars seem to reassure the listener that no matter how tough grief is somehow we get through it.

Sophie Burrell’s soft, angelic vocals hold the listener in a state of peaceful hypnosis and grow stronger towards the final chorus where she cries out the repeated lyrical phrase for one last time, “I hope there’s a life after death and I’ll meet you there.”

As soon as BXRRELL wrote the track, Sophie (lead-singer/guitarist) and Sped Spedding (guitarist) knew they wanted to film the Tattoo music video themselves. Sped filmed, directed and edited the video and his partner Gabriella Tavini produced and stars in the video opposite Sophie.

A stark contrast to the band’s other high-energy tracks on their debut album, Tattoo is a welcome addition showing off the bands’ sensitivity and sublime versatility. We dare you not to be moved by this poetic reflection on the preciousness of life, on treasuring time with loved ones who illuminate our lives with joy. Tattoo reminds us that even after they’ve passed on, we can take comfort in knowing we’ve been changed for the better because of them.

BXRRELL are thrilled to announce their UK tour supporting Two Year Break (an alternative rock band from London) over 4 dates throughout September. Expect a night of face-melting guitar licks and plenty of dancing.

As a fearless musical virtuoso in her own right, Sophie is one of the world’s most watched guitarists, with a collective online following of over 2 million. Her earliest guitar influences include the likes of Slash, Alter Bridge and Nirvana. When asked about the main themes of her songwriting, Sophie said: “Mental health is a big one. Reflecting on painful experiences through writing helps me process how I can grow and learn from them. Followed by self-love, knowing your worth and spreading a message of empowerment.”
