After a five-year break, I found myself irresistibly drawn back to music, leading to the creation of “Bodyguards.” This song was a burning need, something I simply had to record and release. My lifelong music partner in crime, Rob Ashworth, mixed and mastered the track, ensuring it met the high standards we’ve always upheld.
The process of bringing “Bodyguards” to life didn’t stop at the music. I took to my basement, camera in hand, to create the music video. The backgrounds you see in the video are unique—generated directly from the lyrics using ChatGPT, and then animated through Runway ML. This blend of technology and creativity helped to visually encapsulate the essence of the song.
To add a personal touch, I illustrated and hand-animated the lyrics over the video using Procreate Dreams. This was no small feat; it took a LONG time, but seeing the final product, I can confidently say that every frame was worth the effort.
Reflecting on my 30-year journey of writing and recording, I’m proud of the extensive and rich catalogue I’ve built—a collection of songs that have been carefully curated and quality-controlled every step of the way. “Bodyguards” is not just a return; it’s a testament to the enduring passion I have for music and the creative process.
